Child Care WAGE$^® FLORIDA Project

Miami-Dade County

To be eligible for at least one six-month supplement payment during the fiscal year, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Work in a Quality Counts (Quality Rating Improvement System - QRIS) early care and education program (center or family child care home)
• Earn less than $17.50 per hour as a child care practitioner
• Have one of the education levels listed the scale (from a regionally accredited college)
• Work at least six months in the same eligible early care and education program
• Work with a consistent group of children birth to five years of age for at least 10 hours a week in a child care program classroom (directors or assistant directors must work a minimum of 20 hours in the classroom)
• Be employed at this same program at the time of employment confirmation
