When child care programs need a helping hand…

Living in Florida, we know that disaster can strike at any time.  Hurricanes and flooding quickly come to mind, but we are also familiar with the devastation that can result from fire, criminal acts, and other acts of nature.

When child care centers are damaged and unable to operate, families and communities are impacted.  Without reliable child care, parents are unable to go to work and go about the business of restoring their homes and communities.

Forum CARES was created with these issues in mind. Our purpose is to assist child care centers that are in danger of closing, temporarily or permanently, due to crisis, by meeting some of their most pressing needs on a short-term basis.

Mission: To provide timely response and relief to child care programs impacted by disaster, trauma, or critical need in Leon County and surrounding counties of Gadsen, Jefferson, and Wakulla.

Forum CARES may be able to provide necessities to centers such as:

  • Toys and classroom materials
  • Supplies such as diapers, formula, and food
  • Volunteer hours
  • Small cash grants
  • Other support specific to the situation
