The mission of the Continuing Education and Training (CE/T) Department is to improve the quality of care and education for young children through professional learning opportunities designed for the early childhood workforce.
At the Children's Forum, we believe that the quality of the education and training early childhood educators receive had a direct impact on the quality of services they provide to children. Further, we believe that one important way to promote high-quality training is through the use of training standards that examine all aspects of the training experience.
As a result, the Forum has been an Accredited Provider (AP) of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) since 2002. All of the classes we offer adhere to the IACET Standard for excellence in instructional practices and provide continuing education units (CEUs) accepted by the Florida Department of Children and Families for credential renewal.
You can view more information about credential renewal requirements in Florida in the Frequently-Asked Questions (FAQ) on our IACET Accreditation page.
