Families with Disabilities & Special Needs
The Florida Directory of Early Childhood Services (Central Directory) is a statewide information and referral service for families, service coordinators and other professionals who work with children and youth, birth to age 21 years who are at risk for developmental delays, or have disabilities and special health care needs.
This program provides information on a wide range of services statewide. Services include diagnosis/evaluation, early intervention, education and training, information about medical services, screening/assessments, support groups, and therapies.
The Central Directory team facilitates advocacy, public awareness, training, technical assistance and dissemination of information about disabilities and special health care needs for families, national, state and local early care and education agencies/organizations, and early intervention agencies.
