Florida Legislative Action & Information Center
The Forum was chosen as one of 15 pilot institutions around the country to host an online Legislative Action and Information Center for their state. Funded through the National Association for Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (NACCRRA), the goal in creating the center is to increase awareness of child care issues for parents in Florida and to strengthen parent involvement in contacting their legislators and other officials through social networking and grassroots efforts. In addition, the Legislative Action and Information Center provides visitors with the most up-to-date news and information regarding local, state and national child care policies as well as current legislation that affects the early care and education field.

- A listing of local government officials
- Pending Issues and Campaigns that Strengthen Child Care
- A listing of Florida's congressional delegation
- A media guide of newspapers, political publications and magazines within our state
- A state legislature basics guide and how to communicate effectively with representatives and senators
Your involvement in contacting state legislators on pending child care issues can make a critical difference. Receive e-mail alerts on timely legislation. These alerts also include sample letters for communicating with your elected officials.
